Payment setup (Stripe & Square)
To collect money from your customers, connect your own Stripe or Square merchant account. Customer payments route directly to your account —
Skyforge takes no transaction fee on your client sales. Ever. You keep 100% of your client revenue.
This is separate from the subscription you pay Skyforge (see Pricing & overages). There are two independent money flows:
- You → Skyforge — your monthly/annual plan and any overages.
- Your customer → You — gallery payments, handled by your own Stripe/Square account. Skyforge has no cut and no involvement.
Choosing Stripe or Square
Both are fully supported — pick whichever you already use (or prefer):
| Notes | |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Connect via Stripe Connect. Card payments collected in the gallery with a PaymentIntent flow. |
| Square | Connect your Square account; customers pay through a Square payment link. |
You connect one provider per workspace. If you already run a business on one of them, choose that so payouts land where you expect.
Connect your account
- Open Settings → Payments in Skyforge Deliver.
- Choose Stripe or Square and click connect.
- You’ll be sent to the provider to authorize the connection, then returned to Settings.
- Square only: pick the location that charges should route to. Payments from this workspace are attributed to the selected Square location.
Once connected, watermarked shoots show a working checkout, and successful payments unlock the customer’s full-resolution downloads.
Receipts
Customers receive a receipt for each purchase. Your studio logo and contact details appear on the PDF receipt; the email body itself stays clean and text-only.
Troubleshooting
- Checkout doesn’t appear on a shoot — confirm the shoot’s access tier is watermarked (prepaid shoots have no payment step) and that a provider is connected in Settings.
- Square “save card” error — make sure the Square location is selected; a workspace with no location set can’t complete card capture.
- Payouts — payout timing and bank details are managed in your Stripe or Square dashboard, not in Skyforge.
